The DCED Secretariat was established in 2004 and is based in Cambridge, UK.
Jim Tanburn has been the Coordinator of the Donor Committee since 2004. Prior to this, he was a Senior Enterprise Development Specialist with the International Labour Organisation in Geneva (1993-2004) and founder manager of a UK-based NGO working in enterprise development (1983-1993). Previously, he worked in the oil industry, in marketing, research and exploration (1977-1983). Mr. Tanburn is a graduate of Cambridge University, UK.
Naoise MacSweeney, Research Associate (Post-Conflict PSD)
Dr. Naoise Mac Sweeney works with the DCED Secretariat on the research theme ‘Post-Conflict PSD’. She holds a Research Fellowship at the University of Cambridge, where she recently completed her doctorate. Prior to this, Naoise worked with the Runnymede Trust and in also Turkey. Her main areas of research are ethnic tension, migration, and community identity; she has published papers on these topics as well as on contemporary Middle Eastern politics.
Clare Battle has been the Assistant Coordinator of the DCED since July 2007. She is a Graduate of Cambridge University, UK.
